How to Stop Copying and Start Creating Original Artwork
In this video, I’m going to show you a technique that will help you go from copying other artist’s work, to creating your own original art. It’s also a little trick that will help you take your beginner drawing skills, to the next level.
There’s kind of a stigma in the art community when it comes to the subject of copying. Now before I go any further, I just want to say that copying another artist’s work and then taking credit for it … is definitely wrong. There’s no argument there.
But copying another artist’s work so that you can break it down and figure out how and why they did what they did, is probably the best way to learn how to draw.
The problem comes, when a new artist tries to transition from copying other artist’s work, to creating their own original art. It’s that gap in between those two skill levels, that many beginning artists have a really hard time transcending.
So in this video, I’m going to teach you a trick, that’ll help you make that transition a lot faster. I’m also going to show you how you can my simply little drawing prompt book, to make the process even easier.
